| Apas Drug and alcohol abuse programme: Based in the centre of Nottingham, and working in partnership with other providers, Apas delivers a range of innovative services to the community. Their focus is on the individual harm caused by drinking and drug use. They also focus on alcohol as it is the most easily available drug and one that is often viewed as 'OK' because of its legal status. Alcohol problems receive approximately 1/500th of the funding available to the illicit drugs issue. Service user involvement is central to their work.
