| Booth Centre The majority of people attending the Booth Centre have no qualifications and lack confidence, skills and self-esteem. Most have left school before the age of 16 and have a negative attitude towards formal education. Lack of meaningful occupation results in boredom and increases problems of alcohol and drug misuse and poor, mental heath and this compounds the problems of their homelessness. | Church Housing Trust Resettlement fund: Minshull Street Day Centre. Church Housing Trust provide 49 bed spaces for single homeless men aged between 18-65 with a variety of support needs including mental health, drug and alcohol problems in the Withington area of Manchester. | Lifeshare Christmas project: Similar to Crisis Open Christmas in that they also provide medical and advice services in addition to three cooked daily meals from 23-29 December. Lifeshare is a charity that has been working with the homeless in Manchester for the past 20 years and it's aim is 'to prevent and break the cycle of homelessness and to reduce harm and promote health.
