As well as access to showers, laundry and clean clothing, the Centre runs a canteen which serves over 350 hot, nutritious meals each week. The Passage
The Passage run a day centre next to Victoria Station which is used by up to 200 people a day. As well as providing the basics - food, showers, laundry facilities and clothing - the centre\\\'s main aim is to move people on by offering them help with mental health or drug and alcohol services, benefit claims, accommodation, training and employment. Outreach worker, Neil Partridge works with vulnerable and hard-to-reach rough sleepers on the streets of Westminster. West London Churches runs a winter night shelter for the homeless in seven different churces across west London. The shelter provides 35 bed spaces every night between November and April. The Soup Kitchen
The SoupKitchen is a resource for the homelesss, impoverished and lonely in Central London. The project is open 5 days a week offering substantial balanced meals free of charge to an average of 60 people a day. Clean clothes and toiletries are also given. There is a modest advisory service and small art therapy project. A StreetSmart grant will help fund the general running costs of the project.

Camden & City Churches Cold Weather Shelter (C4WS)
C4WS is a church based rolling shelter that provides emergency accommodation to street homeless. The project runs between 1 December and 31 March each year, and has a capacity of 14 beds. Six Camden churches and one City church provide overnight shelter for one night a week, and each venue is manned by 20-30 volunteers. A StreetSmart grant will be used to help fund the salaries of the two employees - the Project Manager and the Welfare Worker.

CARIS run a cold weather shelter in local Islington churces, seven nights a week, from January until the end of March. The shelters are run by volunteers and provide a bed for the night, companionship, help into more permanent accommodation, help with addiction or mental health problems and support with search for paid employment or access to benefits. Whitechapel Mission
Whitechapel Mission is dedicated to providing a lifeline to the poor and homeless in Tower Hamlets who struggle each day against hunger, poverty and exclusion. The day centre at the Mission is open 365 days a year at 6am to offer friendship, breakfast, showers, free fresh clothing and an opportunity to discuss difficulties with trained personnel. The 999 Club run two busy day centres in the deprived boroughs of Deptford and Downham. They have an open door policy, offering immediate support, friendship, help and advice to the most vulnerable in the local community. The centres are staffed entirely by local volunteers and provide hot food and drinks, washing faciities, warm clothes, sleeping bags and blankets, referrals to hostels and advice on claims and benefits. Deptford Reach runs a 5 day a week centre for disadvantaged and homeless people. Most of the people that attend the centre are at the very lowest level of poverty and deprivation. Spires
Spires is the only day centre in the London borough of Lambeth. The centre offers services to 130 homeless and disadvantaged people daily. They are open 363 days a year for basic services - day-time shelter, hot lunch, clothing and companionship. Services focused on longer-term solutions include housing and benefits advice, mental health support, resettlement, primary healthcare clinics, drug and alcohol support and work with vulnerable women. The funds donated by StreetSmart will be used for the general running costs of the centre.

The Caravan offers a drop-in counselling service, free of charge, from a small caravan in the courtyard of St James\\\'s Church on Piccadilly. Besides operating a 12 bed hostel, the charity offers a range of services including street outreach, tenancy support, rent deposit, drug and alcohol misuse and skills development. ACCOMMODATION

 
Marylebone Project
The Marylebone Project is the largest centre in the UK dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless women escaping domestic violence, sexual exploitation, financial problems and mental health issues. The centre is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for any woman in crisis. Services are provided free of charge and include the provision of clothing, laundry, hot food, showers and emergency accommodation. In addition, longer term accommodation is available for 112 residents. They also operate a drop-in centre, which provides advice, health services, training and education to around 500 homeless women a year. A StreetSmart grant will be used to help fund resettlement work.

Radicle
Radicle manages six residential schemes in Hillingdon, Hounslow, Westminster and Tower Hamlets with places for 51 homeless young mothers and babies. The women are provided with a safe and stable environment and are given the skills and contacts they need for motherhood and future independent living. Church Housing Trust supports 14 London hostels that take care of approximately 450 homeless people at any given time. They meet the needs not covered by statutory grants such as residents\' welfare, therapeutic activities, training facilities and resettlement support. Street Child World Cup
Amos Trust initiated this project to raise awareness of the millions of children in UK and around the world who are homeless. The inaugural World Cup took place in Durban, South Africa in March 2010, with eight competing teams, including one from the UK. Alone in London
Alone in London provides a fully integrated range of services that are designed to reduce youth homelessness. StreetSmart supports the Prevention of Youth Homelessness Programme in Schools, which engages with pupils at schools in deprived London boroughs. The project addresses issues relating to family conflict, mental health and homelessness, and pupils are able to seek help and support where necessary. Centrepoint
Centrepoint is the national charity that houses and supports homeless young people between the ages of 16 and 25. StreetSmart funding will be used to help upgrade CCTV provision at their Greek Street hostel. This hostel houses 9 emergency and 17 short stay residents all of whom have come from backgrounds of dangerous behaviour. As such both staff and young people are vulnerable, so CCTV is a necessary safety measure.

National Youth Theatre
National Youth Theatre runs educational theatre training courses for 80 young people between the ages of 14 to 25, all of whom are homeless, or at risk of being homeless. The training is tailored to the needs of those who cannot cope with traditional mainstream learning. The House of St Barnabas
The House of St Barnabas run life skills training programmes for 25 homeless/ex-homeless participants. The 12 week course addresses basic skills such as budgeting, keeping a bank account, IT literacy, punctuality, presentation, CV preparation and interview techniques. The House also operates a private members club, which offers opportunities for real work experience throughout the programme. Missing People is the UK\\\'s only charity that works with young runaways, missing vulnerable adults and the families and carers they have left behind. They actively search for missing people and support those who are trying to find them. They also offer two 24 hour, confidential Freefone helplines.
